I was just on MSN website and my Web Security Guard blocked an ad banner from adnxs.com. So then I investigate this site on McAfee Site Advisor and Norton Safe Web. All I can say is thank God for the public patrol. Both sites have numerous posts by individuals telling of the phishing and scamming of adnxs.com and yet both sites officially give the site a good review saying it is safe. Moreover, there seems to be no way to tell either site that yes there may be some problem with this website. If people are encountering issues with the site should it not be somehow re-analyzed? And furthermore, how does MSN allow ads from this company on their site? My Web Security Guard flags the site as dangerous and states:
“This website has been reported as a phishing site.”

New Mudball Records Design
Posted: July 12, 2011 in anixas, music, website designTags: flash, mp3, ogg, web design
The Ogg project has failed – I thought it would be cool to make these ogg file music pages – but as I checked them again tonight the ogg files were not working correctly. I had new ideas for a design for mudball in a more psychedelic direction so while updating the design I decided to kill the ogg file pages and replace them with mp3 pages with built in flash mp3 players and cover art. I also removed some ads/links that were not relative to the site. Hope to do more work shortly and add some additional album titles.

Real Content is King

Finally an outlet for my writing skills has arrived. With all the article software and spinners out there destroying the word I have decided to create real content. I have begun to publish articles to some of the article websites. Here is the main site I have found to be very good for publishing: GoArticles.com. This site looks very professional and I receive almost instant approval on my articles. While many people abuse the system and spin many articles I choose to write real articles with good content instead. Recently I have also been making big changes to my main website at : http://www.anixas.com. This site will be full of useful information, tutorials, and more. It will be my central web hub of activity.
The latest creation I have come up with is the ogg file music website. Not only that, but I crafted a short informational site on creating a music website in order to give ideas and inspiration to others that may be thinking of making a music website. While the idea is not new some of the techniques that I use are experimental and new. Others could use this information to come up with a music website that they will be proud of. You can find the new information website here at this link.

Netflix within Linux OS
Posted: September 1, 2010 in internet, LinuxTags: movies, streaming, virtual computer
Since there seems to be no netflix client for my Ubuntu Linux system and I have a valid Netflix membership that I pay for monthly I , of course, had to overcome this barrier. I mean, why should I be “forced” to boot into a Windows OS just to watch a movie on Netflix? I had played around with some Operating systems inside of virtual boxes before but they had always been a little sluggish. Since it had been a couple years and I had newer hardware and more ram now I though I would give it a shot , so I installed VirtualBox OSE within linux. Inside of this I made a new install of one of my Windows XP Pro disks. Guess what? It works fine , not sluggish at all. The only slight drawback is trying to get the right screen resolution. Sometimes I lose the bottom of the screen and I have to use the side scroll bar to get down to my taskbar and start menu but this is a minor problem. I choose instead to stay with a slightly smaller window where I can see the entire desktop. I install the web app for my Netflix watch instantly and now I can easily watch my movies (that I already pay for) inside of Linux. So if you are wondering how to do this or if it will work for you my hardware is not stellar by any means. I only have 2GB of ram and an MSI board that is a couple years old running an AMD Athlon II X2 245 (dual core) processor. I can watch movies just fine with no lag. So here is your solution and to all Linux people out there – if they won’t give us a way to do this then we make our own. Check here for my latest offers: http://morphx99mq.topoffers.us/

I created this cafe press store ages ago – have not thought about it for a long time but just checked and it’s still up there – I still think the stuff looks cool even though I don’t think a single sale has ever been made. So whatever, here is the link if you want a cool shirt or mug, etc.
